Aren't Dinosaurs extinct..? Not quite...

They live in the guise of out-dated and archaic beliefs in the minds of many, white, yellow, black and brown middle aged men (and some women..)! Men whom still predominately influence the thinking in our supposedly free-thinking Western society!

Controversial, yes always! Welcome to my blog..and my world…..my website http://www.womenwholoveyoungermen.com/ ..!
(cue…trumpet and fan fare…lol..x)

The reason I talk about these crumbling and “aging” beliefs…lol..which should have gone out with the ark! Is that we still live in a world where “eye-brows are raised” when a woman dates or indeed loves a younger man?!

Cut to a recent interview in the Sunday British broadsheets with a 60+ craggy looking Harrison Ford (ref: the latest Indiana Jones flick) incidentally it is still ok for him to be the action man then! He is dating Calista Flockhart (of Ally McBeal fame), whom is 20 years his junior, no one bats an eye lid. No derogatory labels for the guy, smirks or reactions. Good on him, they say!...

But whoa….shoot to a recent interview with Kim Cattrall in British Grazia magazine promoting the girls latest movie (aka Samantha from Sex in the City, a must see, out the 28 May 2008!). Kim is dating a man 23 years her junior, and it is a barrage of questions, labels and innuendo’s..!

Why the unequal treatment? Is it fair? Is it right? Hell, no!

Welcome to my world, where I think the voice of women, in particular, who make the choice to date younger men is positively encouraged, supported and fully debated!! Especially as it is controversial! Especially as it raise's eyebrows! We love the attention, because we are bold and we’re proud and we just know we are worth it!!!

The whole problem with dinosaurs is that they are big and clumsy. Just because they are big, they think they have all the power..! And boy, do they like to show it off! They thrash around the place, crash, bang, wallop, their big clumsy tails flattening everything around them. How powerful we are? Right?

Wrong..because there was a reason dinosaurs became extinct. They failed to notice the changes, going on around them. They failed to be adaptable, flexible…for god’s sake..they failed to notice the onset of the ice age!!! Eeeks, take those blinkers off boyz…

All that time the smarter, shrewder animals were making provisions, planning watching and observing..smelling the changes in the air!!

They knew things were going to change, it was only a matter of playing the waiting game..

Some of the weaker animals felt afraid and wanted the big dinosaurs to protect them and surely they would come up with a plan for the storm that was brewing..?

However the strongest, most aware of these animals knew that brave hearts full of courage were called for, and the dinosaurs would fail them..! They had literally grown too big for their boots and would destroy them all..! (I love metaphor don’t you..!)

This is how dangerous it is, when “we” collectively begin to believe, there is one set of norms, one set of rules that we all have to live to! It’s downright blinkered, clumsy and damaging – it’s controlling and always comes down to fear. Fear of change, omg – changing the status quo, the way it is…!!

And guess what happens when we control & suppress, an under-current builds... Change cannot be held down, creativity and expression must be allowed. Otherwise the powerful forces of suppression create a counter-effect – a tsunami of energy waiting to blow!!!!

And guess what those silly dinosaur boyz did..hmmm, they were defintely all boyz…nay men…nay older men..! Because generally they are the ones set in their ways and rigid in their thinking, inflexible in their beliefs..(apologies to the enlightened older men out there – albeit a small minority!)

What did they do to their world…let me think….hmmm…so to the Women who love younger men and the rest of you..what is the moral of the story...?

.I’ll leave it to your fertile imaginations, watch out for those dinosaurs…! Lmao..lol

..until we meet again to break the rules again....!
